Every business is fully vetted through a one-on-one interview with the owner, Myles. We look for:
• A strong local reputation
• Consistently positive customer experiences
• Values that align with ours: trust, quality, and community
We only list businesses we'd confidently recommend to a friend, just like a good neighbour.

No.
Being listed in the Good Neighbours Directory is by invitation only. A business cannot pay to be chosen.
However, once selected, there is a paid promotional component. That investment helps us:
• Promote the directory through targeted recommendation ads on Facebook and Instagram
• Create original content, including videos, photos, and graphics
• Write monthly blog articles and spotlights that share each business's story
This ensures that every recommended business gets seen by thousands of local residents and that the community gets real, useful referrals.

Because we believe in giving honest recommendations – not overwhelming you with options. We feature just one trusted business per category so locals can make confident choices without sorting through dozens of listings.

We have high standards and we stand by them.
If we receive three verified reports of negative customer experiences with a listed business, we'll remove them from the directory immediately.
This helps protect the integrity of our recommendations and ensures our community can trust the businesses we feature.

There are hundreds of businesses in every town, many of them great. But we believe in making it easier for people to find the right one in each category.
Our mission is to recommend like a good neighbour would - thoughtfully, honestly, and with care.
